«Corbucci» is the crime novel by Patrick Raynal, published by Albin Michel in paperback in 2001 (189 pages, in French).
Corbucci, a former left-wing activist, penniless journalist and bachelor, drives around Nice in his old Triumph convertible taking on jobs others would refuse: finding wives or children who have disappeared in Tijuana, Sarajevo or Bamako. A bourbon drinker and self-ironic philosopher, he confronts exploiters and criticizes ultraliberalism.
The volume brings together six adventures of detective Corbucci.
For readers of classic crime fiction, especially those who enjoy the legacy of Raymond Chandler and the French polar.
