«Cornelius y la despensa de imposibles» is a children's fantasy novel by Carles Sala i Vila (La Galera, paperback, 184 pages, in Spanish).
In Vilaltorcida, where nothing is straight, the arrival of Tobías and Cornelius, an enigmatic magician, changes the life of Mar and her blind grandfather. Together they open a pantry of impossibles: each neighbor finds the feeling or virtue they need. Harmony breaks when some do not understand the initiative and the one who sustained it disappears.
Part of the Grumetes collection (green series, number 91). It won the Josep M. Folch i Torres Prize 2009. Translated from Catalan by Paulino Rodríguez and illustrated by Javier Andrada.
Suitable reading for children aged 10 and over who enjoy fantasy and adventure.
