«Cose di Cosa Nostra» is the essay on the Sicilian mafia by Giovanni Falcone and Marcelle Padovani, published by Rizzoli in paperback in Italian.
In twenty interviews, Falcone analyzes the violence of Cosa Nostra, the role of messengers and the close links between Sicilian life and the organization. He describes Cosa Nostra as a system of power that becomes a State where the State is absent, with its own economic dimension and roots in the island's traditional values.
The work, published in 1991, has 173 pages. Giovanni Falcone, born in Palermo in 1939, entered the judiciary in 1964 and was murdered on May 23, 1992.
Reference work for those interested in the Sicilian mafia, organized crime, criminology and the judicial history of Italy.

Giovanni Falcone was an Italian judge and prosecuting magistrate. From his office in the Palace of Justice in Palermo, Sicily, he spent most of his professional life trying to overthrow the power of the Sicilian Mafia. After a long and distinguished career, culminating in the Maxi Trial in 1986–1987, on 23 May 1992, Falcone was assassinated by the Corleonesi Mafia in the Capaci bombing, on the A29 motorway near the town of Capaci.
