«Cuando yo tenía tu edad» is the children's picture book by Rachna Gilmore, illustrated by Renné Benoit, published by Editorial Juventud in hardcover (32 pages).
Elisabet often hears the phrase «cuando yo tenía tu edad» and feels compared to her mother's childhood self, who never made mistakes. No matter how hard she tries, she can't live up to that perfect memory. With humor, the story addresses mother-daughter relationships and reminds parents that they too were once children.
The work was published in 2007, belongs to the collection «Para hablar en familia» and is recommended for readers aged 6 and up.
A picture book to read with children aged 6 and up, especially for starting conversations about comparison and acceptance.
