«Cucutrás, Leónidas» is the children's flap book by Jo Lodge, published by Editorial Luis Vives (Edelvives) in hardcover (12 pages, in Spanish).
The lion Leónidas looks for his friends in the jungle. When the flaps are lifted, the hidden animals appear and the game becomes «cucú»… «¡tras!». A proposal with onomatopoeias that invites the little ones to take part in the reading and to discover which character is hidden on each page.
The book belongs to the Leónidas collection and is translated by Edelvives; its original title is «Peekaboo Little Roar».
Aimed at children aged 5 to 6 who are starting to read and enjoy discovering characters under the flaps.
Joanna Lodge is a retired British long-distance runner. She represented Great Britain in the Marathon at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics and in the 1999 edition of the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships.
