«Cuentos para contar» is a book of short stories by Naguib Mahfuz, published by Biblioteca Siempreviva in hardcover (46 pages, in Spanish).
In these stories, Naguib Mahfuz sketches scenes and vignettes of the street where he spent his childhood: everyday moments and characters that do not form a single plot. Alicia Cañas's color illustrations accompany the stories in this edition.
Translation by María Rosa de Madariaga; published in 1989 in the Biblioteca Siempreviva collection, Reading Series.
Intended for child and young adult readers, and for those seeking a first illustrated approach to Naguib Mahfuz's short fiction.
