«Cuentos por palabras» is a story collection by Agustín Fernández Paz, published by SM in hardcover (139 pages, in Spanish).
The protagonist finds in the newspaper's personal ads a gateway to extraordinary events that break into everyday life. Each story shows ordinary people, and not so ordinary, in situations where fantasy and normality mix, and where reading a simple notice can trigger an adventure.
Translated from Galician by Rafael Chacón. Belongs to the El Barco de Vapor collection, Oro series, and won the Lazarillo Prize 1990.
Due to its El Barco de Vapor collection and its Children's and Young Adult classification, it is aimed at young readers.
