«Cultura basura, cerebros privilegiados» is the popular science essay by Steven Johnson, published by Roca Editorial in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).
Johnson argues that television, video games and the Internet, far from impoverishing the mind, demand quick decisions, navigating virtual environments and following plots that require attention. With Woody Allen's «curva del dormilón» he defends that so-called junk culture can be intellectual training.
Translation from English by Joan Solé. Divulgación collection from Roca Editorial; first edition, June 2011.
