«Czik» is the Polish translation of Wolfgang Herrndorf's young-adult novel, published by Foksal in paperback (232 pages).
Maik Klingenberg, a fourteen-year-old adolescent, is left alone at home: his mother is in a detox clinic and his father is away on a trip. Tschick, a Russian-German classmate with a stolen Lada, pushes him into an aimless journey through rural Germany, an adventure about friendship and freedom.
Polish translation of the German original «Tschick» (2010), winner of the Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis 2011. This edition was published in 2013.
Recommended for young readers aged fourteen and up and for adults who remember that age.
Wolfgang Herrndorf was a German author, painter, and illustrator.
