«Dans ces bras-là» is the psychological novel by Camille Laurens, published by P.O.L in hardcover (296 pages, in French).
A woman sets out to write about the men in her life —father, brother, friend, lover, husband— and dedicate the book to them. To seduce a stranger, she begins a psychoanalysis in which she reviews these figures while her marriage falls apart and the absence of a child weighs on her. The narrator, also named Camille, blurs memory and fiction.
The novel received the Prix Femina and the Prix Renaudot des lycéens in 2000.
It is a work for readers interested in contemporary French narrative and autofiction.
