«Das große Sommer-Lesebuch» is the summer short story anthology edited by Holger Wolandt, published by Knaur in paperback, in German.
A collection of short stories with summer and vacation as the common thread. Includes stories by Kate Atkinson, T. C. Boyle, Katherine Mansfield, Ian McEwan, Pier Paolo Pasolini, John Updike and Herbjørg Wassmo, along with other authors; the different voices form a mosaic of summer settings and tones.
The cover subtitle, «Die schönsten Urlaubsgeschichten», indicates it brings together vacation stories. The work was originally published in 1998.
For readers of short fiction who want a selection of stories by established authors with a vacation setting.
