«De Gaulle à la plage» is the humor comic by Jean-Yves Ferri, published by DARGAUD in paperback (54 pages, in French).
The comic imagines the summer of 1956, when General de Gaulle, weary of the French people's ingratitude, settles on the beach with his aide and his dog Wehrmacht. Far from politics, he devotes himself to building sandcastles, having picnics and playing volleyball, in a parodic tone with slice-of-life scenes and absurd dialogues.
The album was published on November 2, 2012 in the Poisson Pilote collection, in French, with 54 pages in paperback.
Recommended for a general audience, especially fans of graphic humor and French bande dessinée.
Jean-Yves Ferri is a French writer, designer, and colourist of comics.
