De l'autre côté du lit

Synopsis of De l'autre côté du lit

«De l'autre côté du lit» is the contemporary novel by Alix Girod de l'Ain, published by J'ai lu in paperback and in French.

After ten years of marriage, Ariane and Hugo decide to swap their lives: she runs the construction equipment rental company and he takes care of the house, the kids and selling jewelry door-to-door. Comic situations and gender prejudices surface, and the experiment produces results as funny as they are unexpected.

The original work was published in 2003; this paperback edition is from 2011. The novel was adapted into a movie with Sophie Marceau and Dany Boon.

A read for those who enjoy farcical comedies about couple life, gender roles and balancing family and work.
