«Dear Doosie» is the epistolary novel by Werner Lansburgh, published by Fischer Taschenbuch Verlag in paperback (259 pages, in German and English).
The author writes to his reader, calling him «Doosie» to avoid choosing between «du» and «Sie» when translating the English «you». With humor, he alternates German and English in increasingly intimate letters, so that the reader reviews the language almost without noticing. The correspondence between author and reader thus becomes a tender epistolary love story.
The work belongs to the Doosie series, of which it is the first volume, and the edition includes 21 drawings by the author.
Intended for German-speaking readers who want to brush up on their English with an epistolary love story and a humorous tone.
