«Del sentimiento trágico de la vida» is the philosophical essay by Miguel de Unamuno, published by Alianza in paperback (329 pages, in Spanish).
Published in 1913, this essay addresses the human condition and the longing for immortality. Unamuno contrasts reason, which accepts death, with feeling, which rebels against it; from that conflict arises a reflection on faith, consciousness and the meaning of existence, written in an intense and personal prose.
El Libro de Bolsillo edition, Biblioteca Unamuno series (no. 86), with a prologue by Fernando Savater. The full title is «Del sentimiento trágico de la vida en los hombres y en los pueblos».
