«Del tot indefens davant dels hostils imperis alienígenes» is the collection of articles by Quim Monzó (Quaderns Crema, paperback, 224 pages, in Catalan).
It brings together articles published by Monzó in La Vanguardia, El Periódico and Avui, pieces with an ironic, sarcastic or pessimistic tone that often stop just short of the short story. With a fresh eye, they confront the social, political and cultural clichés of the environment, and together they work as an atypical and unapologetic chronicle of reality.
It is the sixth collection of articles by Quim Monzó, number 54 in the Biblioteca Mínima series.
For those who enjoy the newspaper column and contemporary Catalan literature, and for followers of Quim Monzó.
