«Demasiado para Gálvez» is the mystery and suspense novel by Jorge Martínez Reverte, published by Planeta in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
In Spain before Franco's death, a second-rate journalist, barely divorced, receives a dubious assignment that seemed reserved for the newspaper's stars. What starts as a minor report turns into an investigation with unexpected twists, with the world of journalism and the end of Francoism as a backdrop.
Published in 1986, it is part of Planeta's Bestsellers Serie Negra collection, number 70.
A suitable read for fans of crime fiction and journalistic plots set in late-Francoist Spain.
Jorge Martínez Reverte was a Spanish writer, journalist, and historian, specializing in the Spanish Civil War.
