Synopsis of Der von den Löwen träumte
En 1948, Ernest Hemingway viaja a Venecia sumido en una profunda crisis personal y creativa. Afectado por una fuerte depresión que le ha impedido publicar una novela en años, busca refugio en la soledad de una casa de campo en la laguna, donde intenta reencontrarse con la escritura. La historia narra cómo el autor recupera las ganas de vivir gracias a la amistad con un joven pescador que lo acompaña en sus jornadas de caza y al amor por una joven veneciana de dieciocho años. Mientras Hemingway da forma a su nueva obra ambientada en Venecia, el joven pescador comienza a vislumbrar la atmósfera de un relato muy distinto: el de un viejo y su amor por el mar.
