«Des del banc dels acusats» is the sketchbook by Raül Romeva i Rueda about the procés trial, published by Ara Llibres in paperback (168 pages, in Catalan).
The book brings together the sketches Raül Romeva made during the trial held at the Supreme Court against the Catalan independence leaders. It is neither a chronicle nor a diary, but black-and-white fragments, often with a touch of humor, that reflect life deprived of liberty and offer a personal, first-person testimony from the dock. Through his drawings, the author expresses his convictions and a way of overcoming difficulties.
The work, 168 pages and illustrated with 120 drawings, was published on October 10, 2019 as a first edition in Catalan. The back cover reproduces the publisher's promotional text.
Aimed at readers interested in the procés, first-person graphic testimony and the human and humorous side of imprisonment, recommended for those seeking a visual and personal approach to Catalan politics.
