«Descartes en 90 minutos» is Paul Strathern's popular essay, published by Siglo XXI de España Editores in paperback (76 pages, in Spanish).
Paul Strathern summarizes the life and thought of René Descartes: his childhood in a boarding school, his habit of getting up late, his time in the army and the formulation of a method based on doubt. The book places Descartes in the history of philosophy and includes a chronology and quotations from the Discourse on Method and the Meditations on First Philosophy.
The book belongs to the Philosophers in 90 Minutes series, of which it is the sixth title. The Spanish translation is by José A. Padilla Villate.
A read for philosophy students and for those approaching Cartesian thought for the first time without prior training.
Paul Strathern is a Scots-Irish writer and academic.
