In 'Mass Destruction', Jean Ziegler offers a geopolitical analysis of hunger, supported by statistics, graphs, and reports from the UN and other organizations. The author examines the devastating effects of hunger in various countries, especially in Africa, and highlights how this phenomenon is intrinsically linked to political and economic decisions. Ziegler argues that hunger is not a fatality, but the result of human actions and, therefore, can be eradicated through political will and international cooperation.
This book is a call to action to combat inequality and ensure the right to food for all. Ziegler invites us to reflect on the root causes of hunger and to mobilize to build a more just and equitable world, where everyone has access to adequate and dignified food.
