«Dezelfde maan» is Dorien Dijkhuis's poetic novel, published by Uitgeverij Van Oorschot in paperback (128 pages, in Dutch).
A woman retreats to an island after an unexpected turn and, amid fog and sea, reviews the decisions that led her there. In precise vignettes, it addresses love, pain and the desire for connection, and asks whether not choosing is choosing or how much we know those we love. A blend of prose, poetry and essay.
Dorien Dijkhuis (1978) is a writer, poet and journalist; the author's debut poetry collection, 'Waren we dieren', was published in 2019.
For readers of contemporary literary fiction and hybrid narrative between poetry and essay.
