«Diario» is the intimate diary of André Gide, published by Fundación Instituto Castellano Leonés De La Lengua in hardcover in 2004 (344 pages, in Spanish).
Diario brings together notes written by André Gide over decades: its pages contain travels, wars, erotic experiences and intellectual reflection. The work introduces the reader to the personal and creative world of a central figure in twentieth-century culture and shows how the author renewed the genre of the intimate diary.
Volume 3 of the Biblioteca Viajero ABC collection, with selection, translation and preface by Laura Freixas; includes texts unpublished until 1996. André Gide won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1947.
For readers interested in French literature, intimate diaries and the figure of André Gide.
