«Diario de Zlata» is the testimonial diary of Zlata Filipović, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (218 pages, in Spanish).
Zlata Filipović began this diary in Sarajevo in peacetime and continued it when the Bosnian war changed her life: bombings, water and power cuts, food shortages and the loss of childhood. Between fear and hope, the author often thinks of Anne Frank as she recounts the siege of Sarajevo and the destruction of her city.
The diary begins on September 2, 1991. The edition was published in 1994.
A work for readers interested in historical testimonies and in war diaries and memoirs, especially about the siege of Sarajevo.
Zlata Filipović is a Bosnian-Irish diarist. She kept a diary from 1991 to 1993 when she was a child living in Sarajevo during the Bosnian War, later published as a book.
