«Días de infancia» is the autobiography of Maxim Gorky, published by Bruguera in hardcover (333 pages, in Spanish).
Maxim Gorky recalls his childhood in nineteenth-century Russia: poverty, domestic violence, loneliness and loss, but also the acts of kindness that marked him. A story without self-pity, with tenderness and rawness, portraying the formation of a sensitive child in a hostile environment.
First part of Maxim Gorky's autobiographical trilogy, in Bruguera's Obras Inmortales collection, translated by Julio C. Acerete. The original Russian work was published in 1913.
For readers of classic Russian literature, memoirs and coming-of-age stories, as well as those interested in nineteenth-century autobiographical narrative.

Alexei Maximovich Peshkov, popularly known as Maxim Gorky, was a Russian and Soviet writer, journalist, and proponent of socialism. He was nominated five times for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Before his success as an author, he travelled widely across the Russian Empire, changing jobs frequently; these experiences would later influence his writing. He associated with fellow Russian writers Leo Tolstoy and Anton Chekhov, both mentioned by Gorky in his memoirs.
