«Días de Reyes Magos» is the young adult novel by Emilio Pascual, published by Anaya Infantil y Juvenil in paperback (216 pages, in Spanish).
A teenager narrates in the first person his process of maturation and his encounter with books, guided by a blind pedagogue who reveals literature to him as a path to knowledge. Twenty years later, as an adult, he understands that the scene of the great theater of the world repeats itself, though never identically. The annotated edition interweaves philosophy and fiction through classical references.
It belongs to Anaya's Literatura Juvenil Leer y Pensar collection, with illustrations by Javier Serrano. It won the Lazarillo Prize in 1998, the National Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature in 2000, and a special mention in the White Ravens 2000 selection.
Recommended for ages 12 and up.
