«Dictionnaire superflu à l'usage de l'élite et des bien nantis» is a satirical dictionary by Pierre Desproges, published by Seuil in paperback.
Desproges turns the lexicographic format into a satirical game: he defines everyday terms with humor and absurdity, aiming irony at the elite and the well-off, and questioning social conventions and established habits.
The paperback edition has 143 pages in French; it appeared in 1997 and its cover shows a photograph of Pierre Desproges with the Points logo.
For readers with a taste for absurd humor and social satire, especially those interested in French culture and literature.
