«Die Geschichte von der Arche Noah» is the children's picture book by Bernhard Oberdieck and Jurij Brězan, from Ravensburger, in hardcover (40 pages, in German).
On a rainy day, Grandpa Florian tells the story of the great flood and Noah's ark, where many species find refuge. The illustrations, in warm, colorful tones, show Noah with a beard and robe surrounded by lions, zebras, pandas, flamingos, giraffes, monkeys, birds, and insects, with the ark in the background.
The text is by Jurij Brězan and the illustrations by Bernhard Oberdieck; the work appeared in 1992 under the Buchverlag Otto Maier imprint.
For children and families; the animal illustrations and the biblical story invite conversation about nature and coexistence.
Jurij Brězan was a Sorbian writer. His works, especially the novels, narrative works and children's books, were available in the two languages German and Upper Sorbian.
