«¡Dios salve a la Reina!» is the biography of Sofía de Grecia written by Jaime Peñafiel, published by Ediciones Temas de Hoy in paperback (183 pages).
Starting from the question of who Sofía de Grecia is beyond the "great professional" that the king attributed to her, Jaime Peñafiel reviews her role as queen consort, her married and family life, and the demands of her public position in Spain. A portrait that seeks the woman behind the institutional figure.
Fourth edition, volume 22 of the España Hoy collection; includes photographs in plates outside the text.
A read for those interested in the Spanish monarchy and in biographies of royalty and public figures.
