«Don Juan» is the adaptation of Jacques Weber's movie script by Jean-Marie Laclavetine, published by Folio in paperback, in French.
The plot revolves around a manipulative seducer who defends hypocrisy as a socially accepted custom; while his servant Sganarelle witnesses his deceptions scandalized, Don Juan seeks pleasure without submitting to morality. Part of the classic myth and of Jacques Weber's film version.
The work was published in 1998 in the Folio collection of Gallimard; it corresponds to Jacques Weber's eponymous movie script.
For readers with a level of French interested in the Don Juan myth and in the movie version that Jacques Weber made of this classic.
