Synopsis of Doña Perfecta
Doña Perfecta es una novela del escritor español Benito Pérez Galdós, publicada en 1876. La historia se desarrolla en Orbajosa, una pequeña ciudad ficticia, y explora el conflicto entre las ideas liberales y el tradicionalismo conservador. El joven ingeniero Pepe Rey llega a Orbajosa con la intención de casarse con su prima Rosario, pero se encuentra con la oposición de su tía, Doña Perfecta, una mujer autoritaria y religiosa que representa los valores más reaccionarios de la sociedad. A medida que avanza la trama, se desatan intrigas y tensiones que culminan en un trágico desenlace. La novela es una crítica a la intolerancia y al fanatismo, y una defensa de la libertad de pensamiento y la tolerancia.
