«Double Act» is the young adult novel by Jacqueline Wilson, published by Delacorte Press (187 pages, in English).
Ruby and Garnet are identical twins who have never been apart, but as they grow up they discover they don't always want to be a duo: their hobbies and dreams take different paths. With humor and sensitivity, the novel portrays their relationship, their family life and the difficulty of building their own identity without ceasing to be the twins everyone knows.
Published in 2006, this edition includes illustrations by Nick Sharratt and Sue Heap.
Suitable for young readers looking for realistic stories about friendship, family and the construction of one's own identity.
