Dragon rouge es una novela del autor estadounidense Thomas Harris, publicada por primera vez en 1981. La trama sigue al ex perfilador del FBI Will Graham, quien sale de su retiro para encontrar y aprehender a un enigmático asesino en serie apodado "El hada de los dientes". La novela presentó al personaje del Dr. Hannibal Lecter, un brillante psiquiatra y asesino en serie caníbal, a quien Graham recurre a regañadientes en busca de consejo y con quien tiene un pasado oscuro.
