«Drôle de zoo» is the children's picture book by Georgess McHargue with illustrations by Michael Foreman, published by Gallimard Jeunesse in paperback (48 pages, in French).
A boy named Stéphane wants to go to the zoo, but no one will take him. Meanwhile, the shadows of passers-by tell another story: on the city walls, the most familiar silhouettes transform into fantastic animals. The book plays with shadow puppets and imagination to turn the everyday into a surprising spectacle.
Belongs to the Folio Benjamin collection, number 68. French edition of 48 pages, published on February 13, 2002. Includes French translation by Marie and Raymond Farré.
Recommended for early readers aged 4 to 7, especially for those who enjoy picture books that stimulate imagination and visual play.
