Dusk is a young woman genetically altered in a military laboratory: her DNA was fused with that of a falcon, leaving her trapped between both species. After escaping, she lives in a deserted city with a guard dog and a very intelligent rat, until the arrival of Jay, a boy, disrupts the balance and forces her to decide how much of her humanity she retains.
The novel was originally published on March 4, 2004.
Recommended for young readers aged 12 and up, especially those interested in science fiction and adventures with animals.
