Luiz Carlos Bresser-Pereira is a Brazilian economist and social scientist. He teaches at the Getulio Vargas Foundation in São Paulo, a position he has held since 1959. In 1981, he founded the Brazilian Journal of Political Economy and since then has served as its editor.
