«El aciago demiurgo» is Émile Michel Cioran's philosophical essay in paperback, in Spanish.
Cioran starts from the difficulty of reconciling a good god with evil in the world and suggests that a cursed demiurge may have created it by mistake or as a joke. The work develops this pessimistic vision with aphorisms on despair, loneliness, the futility of existence and the destructive action of time.
The original French edition, «Le mauvais démiurge», dates from 1969; the cover of this edition bears the Taurus Humanidades imprint.
Intended for philosophy readers interested in pessimism, evil, the meaning of existence and the human condition.
