«El amor de una mujer generosa» is Alice Munro's short story collection, published by RBA in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
A collection of eight stories set in small rural and urban Ontario. Munro portrays women of different ages whose lives are marked by invisibility, renunciation, and the routines of caring for others; women who seek lost passion, doubt, flee, or reinvent themselves. The author finds in those seemingly grey destinies an escape route, a glimmer of hope against the confinement of dreams.
Volume 305 of the Otros Ficción collection from RBA Libros. The original work was published in 1998, and this Spanish edition, translated from English, came out in 2009.
Alice Ann Munro was a Canadian short story writer who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013. Her work tends to move forward and backward in time, with integrated short story cycles.
