«El Boceto: técnicas y materiales» is the drawing manual by Stan Smith, published by Libsa in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
It starts from the idea that the sketch is the first outline of any drawing, a preliminary guide that structures the work. With practical cases, Stan Smith shows how to achieve a valid sketch, what to do when it is not useful as a reference, and how to turn it into the basis of a larger composition, reviewing essential materials and techniques.
Published in 1998.
Suitable for drawing enthusiasts who want to start or perfect their sketching technique.
Stanley Roger Smith is an American former professional tennis player. A world No. 1 player and two-time major singles champion, Smith also paired with Bob Lutz to create one of the most successful doubles teams of all-time.
