«El bolígrafo de gel verde» is the contemporary novel by Spanish writer Eloy Moreno, published by Espasa-Calpe in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
The novel follows a man with a stable job and an apparently happy family whose life begins to wobble after the disappearance of a green gel pen. That insignificant event leads him to review his routine, lost time and the feeling of being alive without really living, until he considers leaving everything known behind to start anew.
Published by Espasa in 2011 within the Espasa Narrativa collection, this is Eloy Moreno's first novel. The author had self-published the work in 2009 before the commercial edition.
For readers of contemporary fiction seeking stories about routine, happiness and the courage to change one's life.
