«El bosque de los árboles muertos» is the young adult mystery novel by Ana Alcolea, published by Anaya in paperback (216 pages, in Spanish).
Beatriz doesn't want to spend the summer in a Scottish castle: she'd rather stay with her friends, but her mother sends her to a friend's house to practice English. The almost uninhabited island seems to condemn her to boredom, until the ghosts of the past return and turn her vacation into a mystery that connects the present with the past.
Published in 2010, it is number 145 in Anaya's Literatura Juvenil - Espacio Abierto collection.
A suitable read for young people aged 14 and over who enjoy mystery, ghosts and Scottish settings.
