«El caballero Don Quijote» is the children's adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes's novel, published by Edelvives in hardcover (136 pages, in Spanish).
Don Quijote is a nobleman who, fascinated by chivalric romances, takes to the roads of La Mancha as a knight-errant. This adaptation brings together some of his best-known adventures with Sancho Panza, in an accessible tone that preserves the humor and character of Cervantes's work.
Published in 2005, it is volume 1 of the Adarga collection. Adapted by Consuelo Jiménez de Cisneros with illustrations by Xan López Domínguez.
For readers aged 10 to 12 and as a first approach to the classics of Spanish literature.
