«El caballero que quería volar» is the fantasy novel by Andrés Llamas, published by SM in 1998 in paperback (220 pages, in Spanish).
Before Zacarías is born, his mother dreams that her future son rides a huge eagle soaring through the skies; countless golden scales fall from the bird's wings onto the village. That omen opens a fantasy story about a knight who wants to fulfill his dream of flying.
The work belongs to SM's «El Navegante. Fantasía» collection, where it is number 5; the cover of this edition indicates it is the 2nd edition.
Aimed at young readers and fantasy fans, thanks to its adventure setting and the dreamlike component of the omen that opens the story.
