«El caballito que quería volar» is the children's story by Marta Osorio, published by Editorial Everest in paperback (60 pages, in Spanish).
A carousel horse is not happy: nailed to the platform, it can only look upwards, where the sun, clouds and the birds' wind are. It wants to fly and share that world, though it seems impossible. Úrsula, the owl, tries to help it fulfill its dream. A story about perseverance and friendship.
It is part of the Leer es vivir collection. The cover mentions the Lazarillo Prize 1966 and the illustrations are by María Jesús Santos Heredero.
