«El Carter Joliu» is the children's book by Janet and Allan Ahlberg, published by Destino CAT in paperback, in Catalan.
A mailman named Joliu travels through a fairy-tale world delivering letters to characters from children's literature. The envelopes included in the book contain messages that the reader can open and read, turning the story into a participatory experience.
The original title of the work is The Jolly Postman or Other People's Letters. This Catalan edition belongs to the The Jolly Postman series.
Recommended for children aged 6 and up; the envelopes and letters invite participatory reading for early readers.
Janet Ahlberg and Allan Ahlberg were a British married couple who created many children's books, including picture books that regularly appear at the top of "most popular" lists for public libraries. They worked together for 20 years until Janet's death from cancer in 1994. He wrote the books and she illustrated many of them. Allan also wrote dozens of books with other illustrators.
