«El cazador de piratas» is the historical essay by Richard Zacks, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (567 pages, in Spanish).
Against the legend that made Captain Kidd a ruthless buccaneer, Richard Zacks presents him as a sailor in the service of the English Crown, sent in 1696 to capture pirates and recover stolen treasures. The work reconstructs Kidd's pursuit of Robert Culliford and the colonial setting of New York, Boston, and London.
The work, published in 2004, bears the subtitle «La historia secreta del capitán Kidd»; its original title is The Pirate Hunter: The True Story of Captain Kidd.
For readers interested in naval history, piracy, biography, and historical adventure.
