«El día intermitente» is the novel by Spanish writer José Antonio Millán, published in 1990 by Editorial Anagrama in hardcover (176 pages, in Spanish).
Alegre, a freelance computer technician, works for a family of slot machine manufacturers. On a stolen computer, a luminous network of moving dots appears; no one knows what it represents. His fascination with deciphering it links an esoteric discourse, the corporate struggles of the gaming sector, and a botanical garden from two centuries ago.
It belongs to Anagrama's Narrativas hispánicas collection (no. 89). It is José Antonio Millán's first novel, author of the story collection Sobre las brasas.
For a general audience, especially readers of contemporary fiction and literary narrative interested in mystery and technology.
