«El diablo de los números» is Hans Magnus Enzensberger's work on mathematics, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (258 pages).
Robert hates mathematics, but a singular little devil guides him in dreams for twelve nights through prime numbers, powers and square roots, with games and images that make even the most abstract comprehensible. A dreamlike journey that reveals its fascinating side.
Translation by Carlos Fortea, with illustrations by Rotraut Susanne Berner, from the original title «Der Zahlenteufel».
Its subtitle defines it as a book for all those who fear mathematics, intended for young and adult readers.
