«El diari vermell de la Carlota» is the young adult novel by Gemma Lienas, published by labutxaca in paperback (256 pages, in Catalan).
Carlota, after the experience of her lilac diary, begins an investigation into sexuality upon discovering her classmates' scant knowledge. With Flanagan's help, she combines novelized chapters about her emotional and sexual relationship with diary-style chapters addressing topics such as genitals, sexual response, first intercourse, contraceptive methods, pregnancy, homosexuality, and sexually transmitted diseases.
Part of the Carlota series, which continues «El diari lila de la Carlota»; this volume is aimed at readers aged 14 and up.
Recommended for young people and teenagers who want to resolve questions about sexuality in a close, unprejudiced way.
