«El diari vermell de la Carlota» is the young adult novel by Gemma Lienas, published by Empúries in paperback (256 pages, in Catalan).
The work combines novelized chapters, where Carlota begins a relationship with Flanagan, with diary chapters in which she shares what she learns about sexuality and feelings. It presents sexuality as something natural and playful, and addresses first intercourse, contraception, pregnancy, homosexuality, and sexually transmitted diseases.
It is part of Gemma Lienas's Carlota series and was published in the Empúries Narrativa collection (no. 233).
A work aimed at young people and adolescents seeking clear, accessible information about sexuality and emotional relationships.
